“24合唱团”



The 24 continues a long tradition of innovation in vocal ensembles at the University of York, bringing together two previous ensembles, YorVox and the York Vocal Index. Repertoire for The 24 is drawn from works for small ensemble or for one—pre—part singing. It ranges across all historical periods but focuses especially on new or rarely performed works.

In2009 members of The 24 toured Germany in a partnership with the ensemble Cantiamo, performing in churches and on German radio. That same year, conducted by Zhu Buxi, The 24 gave a concert of Chinese vocal music as part of the University of York Music Society’s lunchtime concert series.

The 24 and related ensembles have appeared on two CDs released by the group Red Byrd(Magister Leoninus: Sacred Music from 12th Century Paris 1 &2 Hyperion CDA 66944 &CDA 67289) and in 2002 recorded the world premiere of Larry Polansky’s Doggerel(Cold Blue CD Cb0011).

“24合唱团”来自英国约克大学音乐学院，由早期的YorVox 和 York Vocal Index两个合唱团合并而成。“24合唱团”的演唱曲目主要是室内合唱作品以及每声部由一人担当的合唱作品，演唱的内容横跨所有的历史时期，尤其注重演绎新作品及介绍历史中逐渐被人遗忘的优秀作品。

“24合唱团”举办过很多成功的音乐会。2009年，与Cantiamo乐团合作，在德国进行巡演，取得极高的评价。同年，邀请中国的指挥家朱步熹教授在约克指挥了中国合唱作品音乐会。

“24合唱团”发行了多张ＣＤ，最近发行的是：Magister Leoninus: Sacred Music from12th Cenyury Paris1&2Hyperion CDA 66944 &CDA67289)和Larry Polansky’s Doggerel(Cold Blue CD Cb0011)





特聘指挥

朱步熹，湖北武汉人。1959年考入武汉音乐学院附中，1967年毕业于武汉音乐学院理论作曲系。毕业后指挥过多部歌剧、舞剧及合唱作品。

1981年调入武汉音乐学院理论作曲系。除日常教学工作外，兼任武汉交响乐团艺术指导，常任指挥，其间对乐团进行了严格系统的训练，使之达到较高水平，在北京、上海、天津、西安地演出均受到热烈欢迎。由武汉交响乐团与武汉音乐学院师生合唱团演出的《黄河大合唱》获得巨大成功，专家一致认为“指挥清晰，极富感染力”。

2008年成功举办《交响乐、合唱指挥音乐会》。2009年应英国约克大学音乐学院24合唱团邀请指挥该团的合唱音乐会，受到热烈欢迎。





艺术指导



Before coming to York, William Brooks directed the University of lllinois Contemporary Chamber Singers for twelve years. Under his leadership that ensemble gave numerous performances throughout America’s Midwest of contemporary classics by Messiaen, Stockhausen, Cage, Kagel, Jolas and others, including the United States premiere of Ligeti’s Clocks and Clouds. Brooks is a composer who specializes in music for voices; he is also an authority on American experimental music and especially the work of John Cage.



威廉·布鲁克斯，美国著名作曲家、音乐理论家。进入约克大学之前，指导了伊利偌伊大学新概念室内合唱团12年，在他的指导下，新概念室内合唱团举行了很多成功的音乐会，曲目遍及美国中西部音乐，梅西安、斯托克豪森、凯奇、卡格尔、尤纳斯、等作曲家的作品，还包括立盖蒂的《钟和云》的美国首演。布鲁克斯是一位专注于声乐作品创作的作曲家，他也是一位美国实验音乐专家，尤其是约翰·凯奇研究的专家。
